Zoom AI Companion Updates
While Zoom AI Companion has been available in our environment for several months, there are some new features that have been added recently:
- Smart recording with AI Companion. Cloud recordings now have recording highlights, smart chapters, next steps, and meeting coach.
- AI Companion can now use screen share content with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to generate more accurate and relevant AI Companion results. OCR converts images of text screen shared during a meeting into machine-readable text.
- AI Companion can now use in-meeting chat messages, excluding direct messages, to provide additional context to AI Companion features.
Zoom AI Companion is designed to respect your privacy and data security. Zoom does not use any audio, video, chat, screen sharing, attachments, or other communications-like customer content (such as poll results, whiteboard, and reactions) to train Zoom’s or its third-party AI models. Some features may be turned off by default, but you can easily enable or disable the AI Companion features in your Zoom Settings at https://baylor.zoom.us.
