New to Canvas? Check Out Our New Getting Started Guide!
As faculty and students prepare to return to campus for the Fall 2025 semester, many will find that spending time in Canvas is high on their “back to school” to-do list. Now, users taking their first steps into Canvas and veteran users alike can find tips, tricks, and essentials in an expanded Getting Started Guide, available on the Canvas homepage at canvas.baylor.edu/gettingstarted.
“Whether you’re preparing to teach or getting ready to learn, the Getting Started Guides will help you explore the most important Canvas tools and find support when you need it,” said John Lowe, Associate Director of Learning Systems in the University Libraries.
For faculty, the guide covers topics including building course content, publishing materials, and utilizing instructional tools. Accessing courses, submitting assignments, staying organized, and locating support are addressed in the student guide. Both guides feature convenient navigation structures, embedded videos, and quick links to further support as needed.
