Zoom Music and Badges Apps
Two new Zoom-developed add-on apps—Music and Badges—are now available for all Baylor users. Designed to make meetings and classes more engaging, these tools let hosts create atmosphere with licensed background music and recognize participation in real time.

Zoom Music: Set the Mood
The Music app lets hosts play fully licensed background tracks directly within Zoom. Choose from curated playlists to create the right tone—upbeat for energizing discussions, calm for reflection, or instrumental for transitions and breaks. Participants hear the music when you share audio, adding a polished touch to events, workshops, or class sessions.
Zoom Badges: Recognize and Reward Participation
The Badges app adds a simple, interactive way to acknowledge contributions during a meeting. Hosts can award badges in real time for engagement, teamwork, or thoughtful input. The app tracks badges across the session, encouraging participation and collaboration.
Getting Started
- Open your Zoom desktop app and ensure it’s updated to the latest version.
- Click the Apps icon on your meeting toolbar.
- Select Music or Badges to launch the app and begin exploring.
If you don’t see the Apps icon, confirm you’re using the desktop client (not the browser) and that your client is up to date.
